Floor tiles scattering with geometry nodes

Here’s mine, I used geometry nodes to scatter my tiles across the floor

Interesting use of the new feature, not covered in the course.
It is about the only use of them I can see in normal everyday use. Replacing hair particle systems.

Not even looked at them myself, yet.

So what’s the benefit instead of using particles instead?

It’s a lot cleaner in the UI, it just sits in the modifier stack and you can expose just the parameters that you’re interested in and there’s loads of things you can tweak in the node graph. In this situation there’s not a huge difference though
