Just wanted to share my thoughts on this challenge.
Doing this solo challenge was pretty interesting and a nice game changer. It challenged me to think about what I’ve learned and apply it in ways I can; in a way it was eye opening. One thing I found for me was I was overthinking the process. I tried implementing almost everything I learned into making sure the password check was right, but everything didn’t work out the way I wanted. I had the right process in mind, but everything else did not come together like I wanted.
After giving up(sort of) I continued on with the video and I really felt like facepalming myself. The way it was done in the video was simple and easy, which was nice and I took notes on what I did wrong, but also thinking about how I could implement what I was thinking about into it. At the same time I didn’t want to over complicate my ideas either but I thought about certain things like what about more passwords and possibly hints? Or how could I prompt the pressing of a key to go back to the menu?
