I like the bricks, but it could be done in a time-consuming way …
Later in the course, you will learn how to use array modifier, or image textures and mapping.
And in the new Blender 2.93, we have something called, Geometry Nodes (not yet explained in these courses).
Just follow along and show your progress. You will get there …
