I started this course last year and stopped in the middle of the airplane. Coming back, I started it at the beginning again to make sure I remembered the commands but made different things than the topic to practice the skills until I caught up, then followed along more closely again. Here is my “Evil criminal mastermind”/demon caricature sculpt.
Very nice sculpture in here. Coloring fits together well, would not like to meet him in person.
The Maleficent-looking horns suit this one nicely, great job!
Well done picking it up again and redoing it to refresh.
Very nice ‘Horrible’ creature head sculpt in the end. Great job.
Thank you so much!
A teacher I had once told me that assuming I already knew how to do something prevented me from being able to learn new ways of doing it. He said that approaching lessons of all kinds with a “beginner’s mindset” was essential. It’s not “starting over” so much as it is “strengthening your foundation” because you can’t build a skill upward without a firm understanding of the basics.
I’ve tried really hard to internalize that xD
This is very true; certainly applies to programming and game design too. Just yesterday, I finally figured out why I like using code to wire things together instead of using the visual alternative to do it, and the only reason I arrived at that conclusion at all is because of this perspective =)
Glad to! Welcome to the community. I’m looking forward to seeing what you share with us all.
