It took a little googling, trial and error, and some part re-dos, but I’m pretty happy with where my model is.
I hope that between a piston motion and head tilt I can give a decent enough sense of momentum to jumps later.

Looks to be working well. I do find the telescopic bits feeling very thin to support the shade, but it all works.
