Filter Button to add back the Hide in Render toggles

I was a little confused about how to hide object in the render in the newer versions of Blender and found this video saying the new system is to disable the render from collections. But someone in the comments says to use the filter button at the top of the outliner pane - so if you want you can add the render toggle buttons back from the filter menu. Hope that helps someone!

If you switch off a collection, it is not seen (accessible) in the Blender viewports at all!
And yes it will not be rendered at all.
But if you need the object for a Blender trick (Booleans, hair, etc.), then you need to use the filter button.
Both means (collection and filter) have their uses.

Sounds like he did not know the filter icon can replace those vital hide from render, hide from select, etc. very important buttons. Yes collections hiding whole groups at once is handy, but as he had to do it unwieldy. Just enable and use the ‘old’ buttons!

I knew I’d find out where those missing icons were if I looked in Discussions. Thanks for pointing that out!
