Hi,
I’m working on building a software documentation for an upcoming project called “Project Firefight”. My goal is to make a fan made game of ‘Insurgency’, but offer plenty of Quality of life improvement to the core gameplay. To avoid legal issues/lawsuits, the project will only use royalty free assets as a testbed. For the sake of this project, I have created a simple use case design that give me a good idea based on what the core design is supposed to look like:
In Insurgency, the game was originally designed to be played in Co-op/PvP. For my fan made project, I have omitted the networking component entirely from the use case. That said, I want to put all my resource into building a single player campaign that is a remises of Rareware’s Nintendo 64 FPS. It a modern take on the genre. Another key issue I want to address is the missing parallax effect that was missing in Sandstorm. My goal is to offer innovation on the first person shooter, try to get a slice of Insurgency: Sandstorm and Rising Storm 2: Vietnam core combat. Make the gameplay accessible for the hardcore players.
I wish I could put the most resource into indie game development. There still a few internal materials I need finished for this year. For one, I’m currently working on getting a Network + certificate so I can get a job in the IT department. I’m also hard at work on a brand new indie novel for myself. Once that settled, I’ll take my material with me and have my novel be adapted into an interactive format as opposed of being adapted into cinema. Any idea on the Use Case would be appreciated. Thanks!
