FBX format when downloading from Mixamo

When downloading animations from the Mixamo why to use FBX Binary over FBX for Unity? What are the differences between these two?

Actually, I haven’t spotted any differences between the two formats. In fact, I just did a side by side test and couldn’t find any differences in the results.

Over the years, Mixamo has removed and re-added the FBX for Unity format several times. I think you can safely use either one.

Yes, I have used both interchangeably in the past. Actually, I didn’t use FBX for Unity in the beginning because I didn’t check the dropdown and didn’t know it existed. Now I use that exclusively, but I’ve never had issues with either

I just took a look at filesizes in Explorer, and both models and animations have the exact same filesize whether they are fbx binary or fbx Unity. I suspect the return of fbx Unity was to satsify people who were containing it had been removed, so they just made a link and that link just gives out the fbx binary.
