This has to be one of the best game development courses I’ve seen. The instructor was fantastic, detailed, explained why he was doing things… A lot of the time I feel like tutorials will explain to do something, but not why you’d want to do it or why that’s the correct choice for that problem, and this course does not have that issue.
I ended up implementing a shotgun, bullet penetration, tried out the mesh slicing addon, and ended up adding tons of features to my hitscan weapon prefab. While I definitely need to pare some things back if I use it in an actual project, this course makes me feel both like I really need to tone down the scope of what I want to work on (because gamedev is hard even with a tutorial), but also that I can absolutely accomplish that stuff in Godot.
