Ran into an interesting problem in this lecture. When I selected a face loop and then subdivided it showed non-symmetric distortion in the mesh analysis. I even tried deleting the face loops and bridging the edge loops. As far as I know all the edge rings are symmetrical in construction. Any Ideas?
Hi Daryl_Killinger1,
I think the problem here is that you create number of ngons by subdividing the faces. Is there a reason you need more geometry in those faces?
Cheers, Jax
I had a similar problem and I created a topic for that if you want to look at it.
Basically it hould be a problem of ngons, if you klook at the top edge of the selected faces you’ll see that there’s a vetical edge due to the subdivision, that edge also as two points that create it so you should delete them in every face. I hope it’s clear enough!
