For reference material, here is the Church of San Andres Xecul, in Guatemala, (or, the Church of SAX, as the hipsters call it.) ![IMG_3669|690x459]
& btw, here is an example of what I was talking about earlier. I have 2 doors in this scene, & I can only put the cursor on 1 of them to make a pivot point, so how do I get the other door to open? I suppose I’ll just have to wait til we get to that.

Amazing project, love the colors and shapes.
Fine project
- Put the 3D cursor where you want to have a
pivot
point. - Add an
Empty
object, like the cross-hair. ( Shift a > empty > Plain axes ) - Select door object AND then select also the empty. ( Door = dark orange, axes = bright orange )
- Be sure empty axes is last selected. ( is active )
- Then ctrl p to “Set parent to object” ( Empty is the parent of the door object )
- Select the empty and rotate
- Empties will not be rendered, because they are empty
Use Alt p on the door to remove an empty if you wish, nor need for.
Repeat this procedure for all your doors.
Have fun!
