Finished my pyramid, then made a tree and a really interesting geometric tile floor (which I failed to save before starting the tree so I cleaned up my folders and made separate folders for version management when I found out I didn’t save the file.)
Chose repetitive models to practice:
Tree: Navigating, selecting, extruding, scaling, rotating, translating. Made the roots in straight sections which I then shaped, made the branches using ‘G’ ‘E’ ‘RR’ and S hotkeys to shape while extruding them out. Used ‘4’ and ‘6’ on the numpad to get into ideal selection views in wireframe mode. The entire tree is made from one restructured cylinder.
Tile floor: Snapping, using increments to model exactly, using degrees to rotate exactly, using the array modifier to scale the floor.
