So I’ll be wanting to export models for games in Unity. I’ll make sure scales and locations are all applied before exporting. Also I think one consideration I’ll probably have to look into is where the point of origin should be, it might be more important to have the deciding factor be how the collisions are going to work rather than where it will be lined up when first importing.
I will be doing the same. I am wondering whether to rely on Blender’s materials or Unity’s. Or I suppose a combination of the two. One thing to think about is applying the scale to the model in blender, this appears to get rid of the scaling issues that he was talking about in the lecture.
