Exploding Objects

Hey Folks,

I am really struggling with attaching the Armature modifier. There are three of my objects that whatever I do they explode when I apply the modifier. Everything else is correct. They have no modifiers, they’ve all been applied. All the transformations have been applied and they look, in terms of modifiers/transforms/vertex groups correct, but no matter what I try when I join the meshes and apply the armature modifier, they explode

Any suggestions?

That sort of thing tends to be the result of not having applied rotation and scale. I think modifiers use the pre rotated and scaled data to operate with.
