I’m not sure I follow the example with the mayan pyramid. I struggled trying to figure out how to use snap on the bottom of the pyramid and then it turns out (in the example) that we base the actions on how we modeled the pyramid - not the snapping tool?
While it was fairly straight forward to get the extrude to work, the top and bottom parts are going to be the tough area, and I didn’t find this demostration really showing how the snapping can work. For instance, in MY pyramid when I move the top edge the whole ramp changes height and no longer matches. In other words, the snapping here didn’t work because the ramp is one single piece and moving any edge moves everything.
I’m happy to see better examples here on the forum.
