Escape Room outline (three rooms)

Here is my escape room idea using Paint

Room%20Escape%20design%2001%20(Section%2003%20-%20L56)

The player is trying to escape an alien space craft.

They are placed in a large room with 3 terminals.

Each terminal contains a mini game of Bulls and Cows.

Terminal 01 - The only active terminal

  • The player will need to guess the 5 letter isogram
  • On a successful guess
    – the player will receive two letters from the word to use for the pass code
    – Terminal 02 will become active
    – color code Terminal 01’s results in yellow
    – display terminal 01’s results on the right side of the screen as follows:
    – Terminal 01:
    – β€˜<letter 01>’ β€˜<letter 02>’

Terminal 02

  • The player will need to guess the 6 letter isogram
  • On a successful guess
    – the player will receive two letters from the word to use for the pass code
    – Terminal 03 will become active
    – color code Terminal 02’s results in green
    – display terminal 02’s results on the right side of the screen as follows:
    – Terminal 02:
    – β€˜<letter 01>’ β€˜<letter 02>’

Terminal 03

  • The player will need to guess the 7 letter isogram
  • On a successful guess
    – the player will receive two letters from the word to use for the pass code
    – color code Terminal 03’s results in orange
    – display terminal 03’s results on the right side of the screen as follows:
    – Terminal 03:
    – β€˜<letter 01>’ β€˜<letter 02>’

Note: Depending on the difficulty, the player might be punished for failing to guess right at Terminal 02 or

Terminal 03. If the player fails to guess the isogram right, then Terminal 02 and Terminal 03 come inactive and

they are forced to start over at Terminal 01. For an initial run, the player will not be punished.

Once the player has all of the isogram letters from each terminal, they will proceed over to the Passcode

Terminal which looks like this:

Β±Β±Β±+
|1 |2| 3|
Β±Β±Β±+
|4 |5| 6|
Β±Β±Β±+
|0|
Β±+

when they activate the Passcode Terminal they will see a display outlined to below:

00 00 (in yellow) 00 00 (in green) 00 00 (in orange)

the characters received from the terminals are letter positions in the alphabet 01 to 26

The passcode terminal will unlock and open the door and allow the user to proceed to room two

I haven’t fleshed out how this will look, but you get the idea from playing this game
