Hi i m trying to download Unity and editor application says its Validating but it is taking forever. Why is that happening?

I did some quick searching and the first couple things to try were to run the Unity Hub as an administrator and to turn off any VPNs you have running.
Do you have an okay internet connection? Are you using the latest version of the Unity Hub?
Another option is to try and isntall directly from the Unity website:
https://unity.com/releases/editor/whats-new/2022.3.7

Hello! Thank you for doing that! My internet connection is okay, I’m using Unity Hub 3.5.0, have no VPNs and I even deleted everything, went to the link you send me. Run unityhub as an administrator and downloaded everything again but same thing happened.
I need to download some assets that I bought from the unity store and I have to have the editor opened for me to do that. Says Open In unity
Maybe there is a problem on the folder they got installed? I left everything on default
Did you try running the hub with administrator access? Does the install folder have administrator access?

before i opened the unity hub i gave administrator rights and then i downloaded it(the editor)

Some folders have access restrictions, and require permissions, I guess just try a different folder?
I ll try to download the unity hub again and install them on the desktop this time
I meant the installation folder for the editor itself, not the hub.
What happened when you didn’t use the hub, and just installed Unity straight from the website?
I could not download the editor from the website it required the unity hub or told me to download the unityhub setup
Okay, I understand. Another questions, do you have enough disk space where you are trying to install the editor?
Yep 100gb available! Its 50% away from starting to validate. The folder I chose this time is located on the desktop, brand new just create it
Sorry what do you mean find the log files? Like run these commands on the command prompt? Validating again takes a while.
You should be able to go to the file path and find the log file. It says it’s in json format, but you can probably open it as a text document in notepad or something and read the logs. It might list a specific validation error that is holding things up.
Weird about the log.
I think I found a better link for installing without the hub:
Click on the Downloads (Win) dropdown and download the installer from there.
If it works, you can tell the hub where you installed it and connect it afterwards.
