I’m following the course to learn the techniques but I really don’t like low poly very much. So here’s the 8 sided version plus the base I would prefer.

I am not keen on low poly stuff, but it has advantages in some uses like animation or games. Further later methods can fake more detail onto them that look pretty good and render so much faster. However there is no reason you can’t just do your set at the resolution you prefer.

I’m still progressing with the course - adding mean crease data etc so I guess the very low poly one will get better.
