Duplicate with Alt-D issue exporting to fbx

Hi,

I’ve not yet tried this yet with this course, but a few months ago I made some plants for a game and it was one of the first times i used the Alt-D duplication for the twigs on a tomato plant.

As you can not set scale/location/rotation on a lot of objects that have been duplicated with Alt-D, I exported the plant to fbx with Apply transforms.

When i imported the plant in Unity however, all the Alt-D objects where rotated 180 degrees in opposite of the original.

Is this a known issue i have to keep in mind when i want to export trees i make as in this tutorial? or should this normally work and i just messed something up back then?

No idea about game engines.
However might .uds be the answer to these perennial difficulties?
I only mention it as I saw some report on Blender at Siggraph recently and they said every studio was into .usd which Blender has been working on and can do.
I just googled Unity and .usd and there seems to be some package to use?
quote ‘install USD via the Unity Package manager’.

Other members here may know more of the game engine stuff.
