Quite the unfortunate combination here, I have no idea where to even begin from. The dream-like and surreal phases would be a symbolism for the whims of the player character in a crudely designed world where everyone’s choices seem fixed. Occultism would refer to some aspect of supernatural influence on the world itself, an invisible hand metaphor, and techno… while the world itself could span several millennia like in AC games, the influence on the world’s apparent determinism maybe heavily technological - not saying matrix-style-simulation-like, but along the lines of failed betas or some crazy stuff.
