I was also trying to create one of those three pronged cement blocks based on duplications of the tower mesh and couldn’t really think of a programmatic way of combing the vertices. And then as I was writing this I had the inspiration of a much easier method involving an extruded cube and subdivisions. I’m starting to get the feeling like the cube should really be the go to as it is easier to conceptualize where edges will join up in a larger shape and then modify / sculpt out a more natural form from there.

Ah do you mean the tetrapod?
Four pronged. Start with a tetrahedron. Make your own or there is one if you have enabled mesh extra objects. Add; Mesh; Maths Function; Regular Solid, pick in pop up panel.

You got it. For the life of me I couldn’t remember the name of it (and I guess I missed one leg).
Always found the shape kind of interesting.
