Displacement seems to have changed

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that the displacement seems to have changed, it now takes a “Normal” as input, and has more options it seems.
I did get it to work so no worries

I think Displacement has always taken a purply blue input.
But sounds good you have it working.

Is it possible that you’re confusing the Displacement input of the Material Output Node with the Displacement node itself?

Regarding the Displacement node, @NP5 is correct that it’s always taken a Normal.

To elaborate with another tip: You can go to the Blender docs for the Displacement Node and then toggle the docs version in the sidebar.

Even going back to Blender 2.8, the options are the same as they are in 4.0 (The UI is much prettier now, though :smiley: )
