I used displacement on the ground plane and the cube. I also added a water plane and added normal and roughness maps to it

Displaced flat shading

Displaced and normal mapped 0.5 strength flat shading

Displaced and normal mapped 1.0 strength flat shading

Displaced normal mapped 1 strength smooth shading (my favourite)
