For the different material properties challenge, I tinkered a just bit to so taht the stripes have a more metallic feel to it.
For the Bevel Vertex, I tried to match to some images that I searched on the internet, but I was surprised that were many variants of bowling balls with different number of holes. So I went with the most simple one.
