While continuing to learn the basics of Blender, I’ve created my pin curve, spun it, and added stripes.
I’m still having fun with Materials.
This time, I added subtle scratches and dents to the pin and learned a lot about the Shader editor. You might need to zoom in a bit to see the scratch detail. Subtle, not something I’m known for!

Looks cool.Also giving it a little color variation to enlighten the scratches might be good,because now its not visible at the first look.

Thanks, @ChrisSGCP - yeah, I messed around with adding some other nodes to the material to make it clearer. But unfortunately, nothing seems to be helping when the pin is white, and I don’t know enough about the nodes yet to get a more prominent effect.
That said, making the scratched material darker does help with seeing the scratches more clearly.
