Decimate Curve ratio has no effect?

Hi … Was trying to make some wires from grease pencil converted to curve … but when I change the Curve decimate ratio nothing happens ??? Vertices stay the same ?..
Wouldnt mind finding a good Tut on Telephne Wire in Blender 4 ?

2nd image , Wont make this single user in object mode …

Solved … Curve … Clean Up … Decimate only works on Bezier Curves I see … so now I got to see how this Screw thingy worky
