Dark or yellow sky?

What do you like better, the dark or the yellow sky. The dark sky is closer to accurate, but is high contrast. The yellow sky better matches the palette of the landscape…

The dark for me is nicer.
Good version of the course project.

I happen to like both, but agree with @NP5 because the contrast with the darker sky makes your project stand out more.

The same is true with the third, all dark, version. Your project doesn’t stand out at all in that version.

The dark sky with the yellowish foreground looks like it is being lit by the sun, and seems a little odd with the starry background.

The all yellowish version looks like it could be an old photograph or something like that.

The third appears to be the most accurate in real life, but that isn’t really important for the sake of ‘creative liberties’.

That said, I think they all look great!

I like the third one more. The blue starry background and the rest of the scene blends well together in the third one. But that said, they all look amazing. Marvelous job.

Many people mistakenly believe that the darker the sky, the better it is. This isn’t always accurate, as different parts of the world have different Skies Classification systems. For example, North America uses an ABO system while Europe uses a SAA system.
Regardless of which classification system is used, skies in both regions can range from dark blue to charcoal black at night. So whether you’re living in a bright city or rural area, chances are you’ll be able to see some form of sky during daytime hours!
