Dark Energy - Mobile LAN randomgen shoot & loot

My first official game is now out as an open beta on the google play store!

This is a totally randomly generated game which hosts servers on your mobile device, allowing other players on your network to join :). Even the weapons are unique!

I still have a bit of work before getting it out officially and moving it over to the play store as well (think more customization, weapons, enemies, player progression, competitive modes etc.).

I first started learning unity here about a year ago. I’ve since been working on a lot of my own stuff and finding ways to optimize multiplayer games like this for Mobile.

The gamedev community was a huge help in reaching this point. I especially like the focus on getting your games out and sharing them - this mindset helped me to have my game displayed at a convention recently which was a huge step forwards!

Also huge shout-out to the pixelart with GIMP community! Though I still need much practice in this area, this helped me create the unique vibe of my game. It also helped me discover my passion for art. (I really hope Mike and Ben happen across this post to see what I’ve created!)

Looking forward to hearing your feedback! This has been a huge labor of love for me, so I’m excited to see it finally getting traction.

That’s pretty neat!
It’s really nice seeing people actually publish their stuff on platforms. Makes the course as a whole feel more… “real world” I guess… but all round good effort!
Gameplay wise:
I thought the viewspace was rather small and…
…it would be nice if I could always know when I’m able to and when I’m not able to lock on to a target. With this I mean show the targeting button red when unable to and green when able to so at all times I know how to react. Also show it green if I’m able to switch between targets at that given point.
