It took about 30 seconds on my GPU but I find that the denoising makes the shadows a bit blurry

Yes, add more render samples.
De-noising is a time saver but it has it pitfalls.
If you have a very ‘busy’ image, then de-noiser isn’t visible very quickly.
Nut at scenes with even colors, it shows.
The same with .JPG image compression.
