[Course Idea] First person game in Virtual Reality

It would be awesome to be able to learn out to create a first person game(s) with virtual reality inside of the Unity engine and C#. It could possibly build upon the zombie game in the course, or even the bowling game.

Learning objectives should be along the lines of:

  • Differences between a regular game and VR game
  • Headset / Controller tracking
  • Locomotion systems available / examples of code for said systems
  • Good practices
  • How to create good Bow and arrow mechanics / gun mechanics (Orientate things like reloading so the user does not constantly clank their controllers together)
  • Differences in making a VR game for the different VR systems available.
