Converting from local to world transformation, Why did we that?

Why did Mr @sampattuzzi convert the Vector from Local to World Transform, What is the idea behind that mathematically?

Did you mean to say the other way round?

This function convert from World to Local direction, What is the reason for converting from World to Local ?

I asked that because it’s doing the opposite (of your OP), world to local.

If you don’t use that and plug the velocity in directly take a look at the animation. Before playing take note of what is forwards (positive X) and see how the animation looks when you look in different axes.
