Well here’s my animated lamp.
As you can see I didn’t animate the camera in any way since that wasn’t the look I was going for. There are a few problems with this animation and I kind of assume many of them comes from the way my lamp is rigged.
As you can see my rig splits into two and near the end joins together again, except that you can’t really do that as far as I know so I cheated the effect by using some special IK constraints which kinda worked, but not perfectly. For instance everytime I tried moving a pose it tended to exaggerate the movement as soon as I let go of the bone, which made me have to restart the animation about three times since I got so many keyframes on different positions to clear up every time.
Still, I’m pretty happy with it anyhow despite some major/minor problems but I think I’ll stay away from experimental riggings like this one until I’m a bit more experienced =)
