Hello, in the part with outblocking the top of the pyramid, there is a lot of ngons. When i looked at other tutorials, the tutors warned about ngons because of the problems with uv-unwrapping and texturing. Now iam a little confused about that, because the tutor here spent no word about this. Because its no problem or because the uv-part is comming later?
Unfortunately, that was just a by-product of teaching subdivision. Subdividing faces does cause neighboring faces to turn into Ngons, so in future you’ll need to use the K cut tool to fix it, or some other clever tactics.
For the pyramid though, it doesn’t really matter, as most of the geometry is square, flat, and not particularly curvy, so Ngons don’t misbehave.
