Compositing: Can't Get the Transparent Background Back

I was compositing an image and set the background to transparent. I then put a picture in the background.
I didn’t like and wanted the transparent background back, but once I removed the picture the background defaults to white, not transparent.

How do I fix it?

Where does it looks white? in a image viewer or in Blender it self?

General Q&A note

Help us all to help you.
Please give full screenshots with any questions. With the relevant panels open.
This can be done by Blender itself, via the ‘Window’ menu bar top left-hand side.
On that menu dropdown is ‘save screenshot’.

Without more to see and go on that sounds like something saved as a jpg not png which can do transparency?

In t he compositing workspace of Blender itself.

I posted a picture.

In the Mix.mix your leading the alpha in as a factor, which works!
Because you mix then the background image (second image input) with a white (first image input).

This Mix.mix node, must be replaced by the Alpha Over node.

OR - Just remove the Mix.mix.

I realize the issue was I was trying to keep the view node and it didn’t occur to me that I could link the two without the view node. Derp.

Thank you
