Nice face expression with the right eye. The horns are also modelled with interesting curve. May would add beard to fully blend into the Satyr

Very nice, I love those horns! Did you try to make them a bit less smooth to make them more “integrated” with the head?

First thanks for the feedback. Well, my goal was to give him a more organic look, can´t say for sure if i´ve succeded ahahhahahaahh but if you think, horns on animals and of course creatures, tends to look less smooth, because otherwise it´d have look like a couple of pipes

nice tip, need to figure out how to make such a beard… particle system? or simply add polygons?

It was just an idea. Sometimes you are looking at things for so long that simply end up not seeing things. I just received feedback about a model of a golden beast with a comment on the line “I am glad that you did not go too far with bright gold there”, and I suddenly realized that “oops, I forgot to crank up the light and the material’s smoothnes ”.

i get what you mean, especially in 3d, it´s really easy to loose the overall feeling. I still consider myself a beginner, love 3d to death ahahaahahh
Now i need to take a break from courses and start create some stuff by myself, just to see if what i´ve learned sinked in.

If you want to practise, have you checked the weekly Blender Collabs? I started some time ago after the complete course, and have not stopped since then. They have been a great place to keep practising because the subjects are sometimes things or styles I would not have thought of. If you want to give it a try at any time, you know it’s there.

Particle system could work, I cannot tell. I am on much lower skill level than you are
I just modelled my low poly Dinosaur and since that, got my inspiration from one of the recent post here and working more than week on mine project. Testing everything I learned so far and also lot more. I’d like to finish my project until the end of this week, so I can share with all of you and get feedback.

But going with own stuff is great practice, support it and also you can participate in Blender Collabs, which are held weekly.

Great job! He looks quite smarmy; I pictured Richard Ridings saying “That’s an… ‘interesting’ move, Keeper…” XD

I haven’t looked into how those sorts of systems work, but because this is a cartoonish style, you can probably get away with simply pulling it out using the snake hook tool. Just as his horns have textured grooves sort of like wood grain, you would probably want a high density of straight grooves with varying depth in the beard. With some experimenting, I bet you could make that look pretty convincing, but make no mistake, he looks very good without it too ^v^

I meant it though, haha! I wear shades a lot, and I’d rather not also need them when checking out the Collab and other forum projects ;D

Gonna check it out! Thanks

You know, sculpting takes time to master, especially to learn how and when to remesh, but great things can be done by using it.

And I am glad you said it. I agree on that there was no need, but I did not end up doing that because of time, not because I did not intend to make it bright . Lights were not so good, though. That needed fixing. Thank you as always !
