My code didn’t work for the challenge but I am emotionally much more invested in this kind of game than I was with the beginners course so I’m going to try to stick with this course and hope for the best.

I wouldn’t worry, it can be difficult to get the challenges completely correct and as long as you understand Ben’s solutions you are learning from your mistakes and can only get better.
