In his geo node course, the example @StephenWoods shows, the grass should not pierce through the rocks. But in his video, it still does.
Look at the rocks on the right.
To make this work as intended, connect the Math node with Map range node in the Randoms frame (aka grass).
It will look like this:
To independently control the distance between the grass and the trees or rocks, I added two Float Curve nodes.
Resulting in this, beefed up with some glowing grass and rocks.
