Color choice at the beginning

In the last lecture in order to get the second color after choosing the first one on the palette, you went down right on the color grid (- brightness and + saturation), and then right for the hue.

There at the beginning of this lecture you went left for the hue, why is that ?

Thanks in advance

The hue shift generally happens in the direction of yellow, so the highlight of a blue object would go to the left in the direction of green and a red object’s highlight would go to the right in the direction of orange. The reason for this is simple – the sun is yellow, and so the vast majority of natural lighting has a yellowish hue, and objects will look just a touch yellower where the light hits them.
