I understood the code and could follow through without a problem but I am unable to control the UnReal editor. It just wont rotate for me nor would it change direction correctly.
Nightmarish, may be my brain just is unable to process the arrows and keys and mouse wheels. 
Hold left mouse to move around, hold right mouse to look around.
Try holding Alt while doing that for a different effect.
Inside the viewport, in the bottom-left corner, there is a little question mark in a circle. Clicking that will take you to the documentation page with all the controls.
