Basically we have two options for students to find out if it’s time for recess. In this example the teacher keeps track of the time to find out if it’s time for recess or not.
- Every student asks the teacher if it’s time for recess until they get a yes, at that time they take a break.
- The students do their main job, studying, until the teacher tells them it’s time for recess. All the students need to do this way is listen.
I know in what classroom I would prefer to study and I treat my classes how I would like to be treated, so I let them just listen instead of having all of them keep asking the same question over and over.
