Looking fun!
If Bishops have heads, shouldn’t the pawns? I presume the other back rank pieces will.
Also, the mitres on the bishops would be when real, rotated 90 degrees or so with the ‘slot’ facing forwards. Currently, their hats are on sideways.

Thanks for the comments, I never had the thought about the mitre and the reason for the insert in the hat…!
And for the pawns, they do have a face
