I went for a simple board to keep with my World Chess Federation inspired scene. By Changing two of the sides back to flat projection and the rest to box I was able to make it look like the grain runs the length of the board on all sides. I’m sure there is a better way of doing this, but this worked for now and used only the knowledge given in the lessons thus far. I also trimmed the squares with some narrow faces in order to trim them with a different texture.
