I added a dark subsurface color to ‘stain’ the wood, I think it works!

How does that work? I just tried adding a dark subsurface color to my board, with figured rosewood, & I couldn’t tell any difference. What wood texture did you use? It looks really nice.
There’s also a few parameters above that control the amount of subsurface color (which seems backwards to me). The Values I have are Subsurface = 0.877, Subsurface radius = 1.00, 0.200, 0.100 and the subsurface color is H= 0.011 S=1 V= 0.083 A=1.0 The texture is Figured_rosewood_pxr128.tif.001
