The border does not look so good on my board, however I spent a lot of time and had some fun on the squares.
I just layered textures, adding some color ramps, and tweaking like crazy to get what I have here.

Updated the wood a bit, added some brass around it and did a full test render. I am still digging the tile textures.
How did you make the cracks?
It’s is just a combination of several of the marble procedural textures with different settings layered on top of each other. I played around for a while with it changing colors and settings.
For Example the black squares has three marble textures of varying colors. Here are two of them I setup. I used the color ramp option on some of them to change adjust how the cracks appeared by varying the color gradients.
For the white tiles, I used some blues as well to give the marble a bit of pop.
