The video says the mirror has been automatically applied to the new project created in sculpt mode. As per the previous couple of vids this was done by going to Edit > Preferences > Add-Ons > Search: Auto mirror, checking the auto mirror box then saving it. I have done this but Blender does not add any mirror effect to the default sculpt ball even when I press ‘n’ and go to the edit tab and add an auto mirror. Did I miss a step?
Sculpting has its own ‘mirroring’. It operates on the ball on two mirrored sides at once.
However perhaps confusingly, it is called symmetry not mirroring.
If it is not on by default, in sculpt mode up on the top right on the header bar is a set of axis XYZ buttons, click the X. then you get two brushes showing acting one on each side.
