I made a little monkey using just primitives and the controlls stated in this less. For color I did modify the lighting a little bit to give a basic brownish color.

As Stephen will be making shaders on the object he created, not my spectacular monkey, I have made my version of Thomas the Train. (whistling the theme music now). I don’t like things just sitting in space so I’ve added a floor with backdrop. I also have a 3 point light system. You can see that from the shadows.
