Catmull clark alternative in blender 2.9.3

Hi, I am trying to get through the part (2:54 min) where a multiresolution modifier is added. However, it seems like my version of blender doesn’t have the Catmull Clark option in the modifier.

My blender version: 2.93.0
Multiresolution modifier for my version: Multiresolution Modifier — Blender Manual
Multiresolution modifier for their version:
Multiresolution Modifier — Blender Manual

As you can see, my version of blender doesn’t have the Catmull Clark option in the multiresolution modifier, while the previous version(2.83) has.

Could someone help with this?

Seems normal in the manual. Perhaps this is a very recent change?

Please give full screenshots with any questions. With the relevant panels open.
Also include the lecture time that is relevant to the problem/issue.
This can be done by Blender itself, via the ‘Window’ menu bar top left hand side. On that menu drop down is ‘save screenshot’.

So, which version of Blender are you using?

My version is 2.93.0.

It’s not that important, when beginning Blender. But it’s under the modifier multires option ‘Advanced’ …
Ahh, sorry I started the wrong Blender version.
it’s gone from the options. Nothing to worry about. It became the default.
