Can't find normals auto smuth in blender 4.2.0

Hello. What should I do?

It is so intimidating when there is such a big difference between different versions of the program, at least if you are taking the course for the first time, as I am now.

Does it make sense to download Blender 3.2?
Can someone give me the correct link?

Ambient Occlusion I wouldn’t know.
It’s because with the latest Blender version, EEVEE has totally been redesigned.
It could be that this option isn’t needed anymore.

I Would say check the Blender manual!

Also check video clips what’s new in EEVEE to get a hint of the changes.

You are set to cycles and the first image is eevee. In 4.2 it uses eevee next. So no bloom or screen space reflection check boxes. Those are now apart of the ray trace check box. Also you no longer have to go and turn alpha on for each material. Bloom is now done in the compositor thru the glare node set to bloom. There are several hotkey changes as well. I’d recommend using the version that is used in the course first. Index of /release/

Then learn the major changes from 4.0

Or maybe just the hotkeys changes:

Ambient Occlusion has been removed from the updated 4.2 Blender as Eevee now ray traces.
See new insert. Section 1 lecture 3.

Go To RayTracing Menu Tick it, open the dropdown.(below the Sampling and Clamping). Open the Fast GI Approximation dropdown and change the Method from Global Illumination to Ambient Occlusion.
