For some reason my 3d projects and scene are not by default starting with a default skybox. On top of that, when I try to drag and drop my own skybox material it doesn’t get dropped onto the scene. I don’t understand why this is.
Only when I go into game view does it show an actual sky box but not in the editor
The skybox can be turned off in the editor, it is one of the little buttons on top of the window

Yep, I kinda of figured it out on my own the following day, but Bryant’s answer helped. Thanks for the concern:)
