Can of worms now opened with CUDA

Also michael, the gforce driver ID requires JAVA, a backward, plague ridden piece of donkey dung. I think Ill buy a computer I can stash this series on and take it completely off my network. My workstation is a recently restored to bottom line, Windows 7, and I do not want it corrupted. You should warn your subscribers of the intense infrastructure this course requires. Also my first attempt to download JAVA failed. JAVA , here in the states takes 35 min. I have ATT DSL, not a slouch. Just looking now the second is going to fail. the time to complete is getting larger, not smaller. There is obviously something I do not know.

Im really discouraged, to say the least. I presume CUDA requires “gforce” but this GPU is AMT, so there appears to be a conflict. Not sure where to go, because your 20 min lectures sometimes takes an hour to really understand. I can imagine what that will yield with resource intensive “redo”. Bye for now.

In the U.S. Java takes 30 seconds to download on comcast, and on UC2B 3-5 seconds.
ATT DSL , ATT has been known to purposely extremely throttle DSL users, in fact they just got in deep trouble with it.
DSL is decade old internet, Java will not be the only slow thing you will find…

Using outdated tech and then blaming the program base infrastructure, is an odd thing to do.
BTW your microwave uses java bytecode.

Java compiler gives output as Byte code. When a program is compiled in C
or C++, it generally runs slower than the same program would run if
compiled to executable code. But, In Java, the difference is very
minimal. As Byte codes are highly optimized one, the program execution
will be much faster than we expect. This could be the reason Why Java
is used in Microwave Ovens.

And why Nvidia and others use it as well.
Android phones = all java

This is the least expensive I can get and I find it unsettling you would criticize instead of suggesting a solution. easy to be looking down the gunsites, old man, when you are not shelling out the bucks. You see I’ve got computers older than your smart mouth and they still use JAVA 5. However JAVA chooses to not allow the old code to run. Remember, boy, someone will want to throw you away when you are outdated. Your rudeness is uncalled for.

I saw this thread and couldn’t resist replying. James, buddy, you original post was just as rude, if not more.

Really, an hour??? Maybe this is not for you.

Darkfyre_Algoma was stating facts, and you were blaming your troubles on your inadequate knowledge of the technology you are using. Please, Please, Please, do a little research before ranting on any forum.
